Anticipation and Tidbits

Anticipation = waiting and waiting and waiting for the next book in a series.

I've waited for what feels like for-freaking-ever for book 4 of Henry Neff's Tapestry series. You can find my review of book one HERE. And here are the first few awesome covers:

Aren't those covers amazing? Well, so are the books. And guess what?  Book four finally has a title and a release date!!  Ahhhhhhhh!  The Maelstrom: Book Four of the Tapestry will be released October 23, 2012 by Random House.

I. CAN'T. WAIT. I may even have tweeted Henry about it. Multiple times. So far, though, no restraining order. Phew!

Here's what the newest cover will look like:

 Complete and total woo-hoo-ness!!

Be sure to add these to your Goodreads list. In my opinion, this series ranks right up there with Fablehaven and Percy Jackson. It's one of my VERY FAVORITES.  (and as my 14-year-old son just read this over my shoulder, he wants you to know that he thinks it's BETTER than Percy Jackson. LOL)

And don't worry: I'll be sure to remind you again.

TIDBITS:

* Michael Gettel-Gilmartin is showcasing Lynne Kelley's AMAZING trailer for CHAINED at Project Middle Grade Mayhem today. Don't miss it. It's fantastic.

* I featured Michael Grant's MG series on Monday, but many of us mentioned his YA series, GONE, as well. The Kindle version is currently only $2.99 right now. You can get it HERE if you're interested.

Have a wonderful weekend!

I've never heard of this MG series other than your blog! I'll keep my eyes open. I know about GONE series but I'd no idea the author had written an mg series. Cool! I love seeing new covers for books I like!

Those covers are so cute and fun! I always try to wait until the full series is written before I read the books, just so I don't have to play the waiting game. I never have the patience, though!

Love your definition of anticipation. Of course with the Harry Potter books, it was more like stir crazy. Two years between each book was sooooo long. :P

Thanks to you, I am going to read Henry Neff. As soon as I can.

After I finish Game of Thrones, that is. Talk about EPIC!!!

And thanks for mentioning the Project Mayhem post. I appreciate it!

Have a great weekend yourself.

I read the first book in this series soon after it came out . . . which was a while ago. I'll have to check out the other books in the series. :)

Wow, these look good! I hadn't heard of them (but I keep less track of MG than YA). I love the covers too, especially the figure on Book 1. Great detail on all, lots to look at!

Oh man, I want to read these!

Those are fantastic covers, and this series sounds so good! I hate that many of the big publishers put the release dates of their author's series so far apart. I suppose it builds suspense though. LOL!

I've never heard of these book, but if a 14yo boy recommends them, I'm definitely checking them out for my son! Thanks!

I have read and loved the first, but have not read the next yet. Will be, though.

And...I think I may need to borrow that word "woo-hoo-ness"!

Hope you enjoying your weekend as well!

I am constantly waiting on new books in a series to come out. Constantly. I think they find it fun to torture us with a far off date. And then have even more fun when they move the date even further out. Oh well. :) Hope you are having a fabulous Monday!
