"All successful people, men and women, are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision, that goal or purpose."
~ Brian Tracy
Do you see the main message in those words -- big dreamers work every day. Every day.
Stephen King says we should strive to write at least 100 words each day. Only 100, but once we've begun, those 100 could easily become 1,000 or more. Sometimes, we'll struggle to reach the minimum. Sometimes, we'll fly. The key, though, is to sit and force ourselves to begin . . every day.
I'm not good at maintaining my momentum, even though I know how important it is to my long-term goals.
And come back tomorrow for an
AWESOME GIVEAWAY announcement!
How do you manage to win the battle against
avoidance and procrastination?

Great post. I like that picture.
Excellent advice, and who can argue with the King?
Every success starts with a dream... and continues with some very hard work!! I love it :)
Unplugging helps me.

Great quote. I don't make my goal to write everyday even for 10 minutes. But if not, I'm usually working on my blog or social networking.
I'm always trying to write these days. So I make my goals more than I did when I wasn't always trying for a goal. And 10 minutes a day is a lot easier to think of accomplishing. I know you're working hard too.
Looking forward to your announcement tomorrow. And thanks for the congrats today. We can't believe it happened.
Bff! Bodacious quote and so very true. I had never seen this quote. Tweeting your post and copying the quote, you awesome bff, you! (((Hugs)))I guess I'll wait on moving the blog. Everyone has said how hard it is to learn Wordpress. *sigh*
LIfe is so busy, it really is hard to do it all. I've decided my best is good enough - don't need the extra guilt! :)
You just have to keep at it. A year ago my goal was to write 300 words a day, and I kept at it, so that now I can usually make a thousand in a session. But you just have to keep going.
I have to make routines to keep me on task. Otherwise I'm a flibberty-jibbet.

I force myself to sit down every night after the monkey goes to sleep and do some sort of writerly thing. Sometimes it's painful as peeling off fingernails, but other times I spend two hours and it feels like 20 minutes.
I like those nights. :)
