A NEW DAY

I have been given this day to use as I will.
I can waste it, or use it.
I can make it a day long to be remembered for its joy, its beauty and its achievements, or it can be filled with pettiness.
What I do today is important because I am exchanging a day of my life for it.
When tomorrow comes this day will be gone forever, but I shall hold something which I have traded for it.
It may be no more than a memory, but if it is a worthy one I shall not regret the price.
I want it to be gain not loss, good not evil, success not failure.
What will you do with today?
'Exchanging a day for my life...' I like that. Today the plan is to spend some time with the hubs who's taken the day off, convert two more chapters from 3rd POV to 1st in my current ms, and attend my 8th grader's football game.

Finish cleaning the playroom. It looks amazing after the two hours I spent on it yesterday. Wow, now my kids barely have any toys. But boy do I have a lot to donate. :D

ReplyDeleteThat was beautiful, Shannon...I'm spending my day waiting...waiting for the carpenter (who thankfully came, did and left), waiting for a nap (which it looks like won't come), waiting for the painters (who came to early, left and haven't come back???)...waiting for my life to get back to normal so I can find a routine again. :) Until then I read blogs and comment...But if I wasn't waiting I might have missed your lovely words, so sometimes waiting brings good things. :)
