Save the Adverbs!

Sorry. I couldn't help myself. Longtime followers know of my adverb abuse problem, but be assured - I'm in therapy.

  9. Adverbs totally get a bad rap. I think there should be some kind of "bring back the adverbs" campaign. I'd jump on board!

  11. Yeah, one little adverb can definitely change a sentence. I've had to work to wipe them from my writing vocabulary.

  14. That's great! Adverbs are so sneaky. Some of them insist that they sound just fine, and I believe them until the tenth time I read the sentence. :-)

    It's hard to wipe adverbs from our writing, we're encouraged to use them in school when we first learn writing.
