I Can Do Anything - Starting Right Now.
I have my dream, I have God, and I choose to move in the direction of my goal, even when I am afraid or unsure. Whenever I fall, I stand up, brush myself off, and keep moving toward my goal.
~ Jonathan Lockwood Huie
As we welcome 2011 and decide on resolutions and goals, let's not forget that we can do anything. It's a fresh start; a blank page; a new beginning...begin it with hope and renewed faith.
As we welcome 2011, let's not forget that we have a blogging community full of support and encouragement and wisdom and FRIENDSHIP.
As we welcome 2011, let's not forget that all things happen when they are meant to happen. God's timing is perfect.
What don't you want to forget as you welcome 2011?
Great post, Shannon! I want to remember what I've learned, and allow myself to bloom from the roots up. I've learned that there are always thing that I can work on, but some of those things start at my core and it's a little harder to change 34 years of training. lol Here's to a great 2011!
ReplyDeleteInteresting post. This year I want to remember that there's nothing wrong with taking some time to relax. I always like to keep busy, and that can get me bogged down, so throwing everything aside and relax is one thing that I definitely need to do every once in a while.
ReplyDeleteI don't want to forget my WIP, and that I need to make time for it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post!
ReplyDeleteI don't want to forget that my fellow bloggers are an awesome resource for all kinds of AWESOME motivation I can't get elsewhere!
Oooh!!! What don't I want to forget?? That chocolate is good for you!
ReplyDeleteTake care

I don't want to forget this feeling of motivation coursing through my veins right now.
ReplyDeleteLove it! I'm such a sucker for quotes and that's a good one.
ReplyDeleteI don't want to forget that writing and doing writerly things really does make me happier and more balanced. No slacking allowed in 2011.
Happy New Year! xo
Shannon, what wonderful quotes. I'm possible! Love it! And I agree on God's timing. You think you know what's best, but really He does.
ReplyDeleteyou were obviously listening in on my conversation with my husband this morning about how i don't know if i can get the house ready to sell in 6 months AND do homeschool AND chores AND write. God's been talking to me ever since, and all through blogs. many thanks.
ReplyDeleteAmen! I have some weight to lose this year :)
ReplyDeleteGreat quote and words of encouragement! Wishing you every success this coming year. :O)
ReplyDelete"In all ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths" Proverbs 3:6 That's what I don't want to forget in 2011. I like how you describe a new year as a blank page, not one with eraser marks.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful reminder! Thanks. And I couldn't agree more. It's easy to ignore the lessons we are learning while we are awaiting our reward... but we may find one day that the lessons are the reward. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteHey my dear! I'm back and I wanted to give you a huge thanks for the support! You rock!
ReplyDeleteI don't want to forget to give my life balance this year.
ReplyDeleteLove that quote by Audrey Hepburn
Very nice! I want to remember to breathe. Life can go by at ridiculous speeds & I tend to hurtle along with it! :)
ReplyDeleteAW!!! I love this post Shannon!
ReplyDeleteI don't want to forget to just keep going.
I don't want to forget how privileged I am, how blessed I am with a caring family and the opportunities given to me. :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Audrey Hepburn. Her quote is a keeper. I, too, believe that with God all things are possible, even if it doesn't seem like it sometimes.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder! 2011 is going to be a great year--I can feel it! :)
ReplyDeleteAww, I love Audrey Hepburn.
ReplyDeleteHmm, I guess I'd like to remember that the most important things in my life are my family and friends. They'll be there for me no matter what happens with my writing.
Aaaamen! Love it.
ReplyDeleteThat each day is a fresh start. P.S. I love that quote!
ReplyDeleteI learned a lot in 2010 and there is so much I don't want to forget that I'm writing it all down in a notebook! But I'm fully embracing 2011 and looking forward.
ReplyDeleteLove this post! I don't want to forget that I CAN do this!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your post and outlook. I never want to forget where I came from, or how hard I worked to get this far. I never want to forget how many people helped me reach this point, either!
ReplyDeleteHugs all round!

Hello again, my friend! I've missed your posts. Happy for the reminder that things are possible as I start out on this journey once again.
ReplyDeleteWonderful post! It gives me so much hope to know that God can help me achieve anything. That's what I don't want to forget.
ReplyDeleteWho I really am.
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
Hey soul sister,
ReplyDeleteYou and me -- on the same page -- AGAIN!!!
Happy 2011!
Love it! God's timing really is perfect, even if it's not always what I have in mind, lol.
ReplyDeleteGreat words and perfectly true.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year.
Yvonne.
I adore Audrey Hepburn!
ReplyDeleteI just have to remember to keep plugging away- time is all I need! (And sometimes I'd like some more of it.)
Lovely post.
ReplyDeleteWhat I want to remember is that I'm always in exactly the place I need to be, even if it doesn't feel like it at the time.
Happy new year 2011!
Lovely post, Shannon! The thing I don't want to forget is that people come first in my life...family, friends and often sometimes strangers...When someone is in need of a hug it's really important that you stop and take the time to give it to them. It might make a big difference in their life and it will make a difference in your life.
ReplyDeleteGreat post, as usual!
ReplyDeleteTo dream the impossible...and then to find it. That's got to be something.
Happy New Year!
That all the details of life are simply that - details, embellishments, window dressings. What's important are relationships - embrace them!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat reminders! I just came across your blog and love it--I'm your newest follower!

I don't want to forget this, "If not now, when?" Very important.
ReplyDeleteNicely said! I'm literally starting the new year with a blank page, a new manuscript! I'm excited! Happy New Year, Shannon!
ReplyDeleteShannon, I LOVE this place! Look how many folks you inspired!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, dear one. And Happy New Year!
