"Middle age is when you're sitting at home on a Saturday night and the telephone rings and you hope it isn't for you. "
~Ogden Nash
I don't know about you guys, but that is SO me!
Happy Friday,
have a great weekend,
and I hope the phone doesn't ring for you.
Never a truer word spoken in jest ... :-)
ReplyDeleteOh my stars!! Me too!! These words are me!! Oh yes!! LOL! Take care

Ha! Funny stuff, and cute duck!
ReplyDeleteLOL
ReplyDeleteRight?
When you're young and the phone rings late at night you get excited.
The older you get the more annoyed you get that someone is daring to call late.
LOL!! :) And yes.
ReplyDeleteHahaha, such a great quote! And such a cute duck! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's so funny, because it's true. Just the other day, the phone rang and I said to my husband, I hope its for you. Gone are the days of talking on the phone for hours.
ReplyDeleteHa, ha, ha, ha, ha! So me, too!
ReplyDeleteI love it! And I agree. With my kids busy schedules, it is rare we have a free weekend day and evening. But when we do, I make sure we are HOME!
ReplyDeleteEven though I do like to get out and do something fun once a month, my very favorite place is my home.
Fabulous post and ever so true.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Too true.
ReplyDeleteThat is me...EVERY NIGHT! Love my peace and quiet. :)
ReplyDeleteYeah ... me, too. At least I know I'm not alone ... in my solitude and avoidance of socializing.
ReplyDeleteCan so relate to this. Most of are calls are junk so we don't answer. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful weekend! :)
ReplyDeletePerfect! At age 54 I couldn't have said it better myself ;D
ReplyDeleteTee hee! That's completely me too! :) have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHa! Now, if it was agent calling with news, all bets would be off...
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend. (I'll try not to call!)
So true! I love when the phone isn't for me! Anytime actually. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm there with ya sister! :O)
ReplyDeleteFunny and true.
ReplyDeleteHaha! I actually laughed the other day when I realized that whenever the phone rings my instant reaction is, "Who in the world is calling me?"
ReplyDeleteI guess I get to enjoy the lack of phone calls until my daughter becomes a teenager. That promises to be painful--she already loves talking on the phone and she's only 5!
Hi Shannon .. so absolutely right - when the phone does go .. it's an infringement on my time! I have to adjust quick, quickly ..
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend with or without phone calls for you .. cheers Hilary
Ha, I love that! I guess the fact that I can relate to this means I've hit middle age early.
ReplyDeleteOMG so funny AND true. Thanks for making me chuckle :)
ReplyDeleteI love that quote! :)
ReplyDeleteLOL. Wish I could say I relate, but since each member of my family has their own cell phone, when mine rings I know it is for me. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteToo true! Hope your weekend has been awesome and phone-free! :)
ReplyDeleteLOL...so, so true! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeletehahaha! This is so me! Thanks for the laughs.
ReplyDeleteThat IS so me. Sadly, I've been like that since my early 30s, if not earlier.
