Marvelous Middle Grade Monday - I Survived

Marvelous Middle Grade Monday

I Survived Series
 by Lauren Tarshis

This series is a huge hit with middle graders, especially boys. As a bonus, the stories are non-fiction, which is an often overlooked and under-appreciated genre for younger readers.

At the school book fair this year, I let my son choose only one book (too close to Christmas), and he chose Shark Attack of 1916. He already has The Titanic one and is begging for more books in this series.

I highly recommend these ones, folks!!

 Happy Monday!

Thanks for letting me know. This was the kind of stuff I dug for when my son was a few years younger. Even now, he's a huge fan of nonfiction.

If I could tie my 8 year old son to the couch and force him to read, I know he'd love these! :) I know he'd love that shark cover!

Thanks for sharing, Shannon! I bet our Lenny would like these too!

My son LOVES this series and just finished the one on Hurricane Katrina last night. My son wanted me to mention that the fourth one just came out about the Bombing of Pearl Harbor, which he read. And in that one it said the next one would be about the San Francisco earthquake. As you can he is full of details! :)

Thanks for sharing this. I haven't seen this series. Just last week I noticed several of my male students had shark books. I'm sure they'd also read these.

Oh man, these are boys books on STEROIDS! Wish I'd know about them when my kids were just a bit younger. :)

Just wanted to stop in and wish you a very merry Christmas, Shannon! I hope you have a truly special holiday and enjoy lots of time reading and writing and just plain ol' relaxing. :)

The growth of the global market for carbonated drinks is driven by the increasing demand and popularity of fast food among the young generation. Additionally, the rising pairing of various soft drinks with fast food by key fast-food corporations such as Mc Donald’s, KFC, and Burger King, among others is likely to propel the Carbonated Beverage Market growth further. Meanwhile, other factors such as growing disposable income, launching of new flavours, and penetration of e-commerce in food and beverage sector is projected to aid the market over the forecast period.
