A New Day
by
Dr. Heartsill wilson This is the beginning of a new day.
I have been given this day to use as I will.
I can waste it, or use it.
I can make it a day long to be remembered for its joy, its beauty and its achievements, or it can be filled with pettiness.
What I do today is important because I am exchanging a day of my life for it.
When tomorrow comes this day will be gone forever, but I shall hold something which I have traded for it.
It may be no more than a memory, but if it is a worthy one I shall not regret the price.
I want it to be gain not loss, good not evil, success not failure.
Make the most of today. Make it count, if only in small ways, because small things are the foundation of bigger things.

Thanks for the amazing inspiration. It's all so true. And sometimes forgotten. Like by me yesterday when I was having a down day.
Gosh, what an awesome way to start the day. And I was actually having some icky jealous feelings this morning, so I am so thankful for this reminder to live in hope and gratitude!
You really are made of awesomeness, Shannon. Thank you. :D
I am most thankful for every day. Though I often wish there were more hours in each one.
What beautiful words to start the first day of spring!

Lovely--I needed this today :)
How beautiful! That's a wonderful philosophy for living each day.
Love this. I'm trying hard not to waste my day as well. Time moves so quickly ans it ticks by so slowly and I forget that I need to give everyday my all. Thanks for this.
Beautifully said, and I'm off to do just that. :)
love these affirmations :)
O so true! "Small things are the foundation of bigger things."
