"To reach a port, we must sail -
sail, not tie at anchor - sail, not drift."
~ Franklin Roosevelt
To achieve OUR goals we must write.
Not stare at the screen for hours "thinking" (please say I'm not the only one who does that).
Not check Twitter and FB every 10 minutes for new messages.
Not put it off until tomorrow . . .
WRITE.

That is truly a great quote. And too stare at the computer screen 'thinking' and I do check FB and Twitter too much for my own good....
lol! That's most of my days lately. Gotta keep on it. ;)
You can do it Shannon! <3
Oh no my dear, you are certainly not the only one who does that. ;) I so need to make a new year's resolution to cut back on Twitter.
I do a lot of thinking and checking and not enough writing..... so true! :O)
and in my case, edit. I guess I need to stop reading blogs now, tee-hee :)
YOu got it!!
Though I am taking the rest of December off from writing. Lots of holiday and family stuff!
I hang my head in shame as I am guilty of not only staring at a blank screen but blog hopping and net surfing like crazy!
Oh dear!
Take care

Been doing too much drifting lately--thanks for the quote, and the nudge!
I've been having to tell myself that too lately-writers write. So you're definitely not alone.
Or... not spend hours reading blog posts from Google Reader when I should be writing? ;-)
I love sailing! ;D
Last night, I wrote for the first time in a month. It's amazing what I can get in the way. Some of it was being busy, part of it was I didn't know where I wanted to go next, but part of it was I didn't make writing a priority like I should.
You are right - we must write.
I need to put a block on Facebook! I need to do some writing just on paper because the whole internet is too enticing!
